Enviromena shortlisted as ‘Fast Track Company of the Year’ in prestigious Green Business Awards

Clean energy solutions company Enviromena has been named as a finalist in the ‘Fast Track Company of the Year’ category in this year’s prestigious UK Green Business Awards.

Reading-based Enviromena, which is developing and constructing renewable energy projects in both the UK and Italy, has been shortlisted in the awards which are shining a light on the many inspiring organisations that are striving to build an economy that is sustainable, healthier and more prosperous for all. The winners will be announced at a glittering event in London on Wednesday 12th June.

Enviromena’s CEO, Chris Marsh, said: “These awards are celebrating the best of the country’s green economy, and we are thrilled to have been recognised as one of the fastest growing clean energy companies in the UK. We are committed to leading the transition to a world powered by clean energy and have experienced exponential growth in the last few years.”

Enviromena’s European operation began trading in 2018 from a small office in Grazeley with two employees, an early-stage pipeline of projects in Italy and the ambition to build a portfolio of solar farms across the UK.

Turnover of £0.5m in the first year of the UK operation to December 2021, was quickly followed by a turnover of £13.5m at the end of 2022 and £35m over the first nine months of 2023. Enviromena expects to push through the £50m landmark by mid-2024. Similarly, headcount has almost doubled in the last 12 months to 26.

Today Enviromena has one of the largest footprints of clean energy projects in the UK.

It has installed more than 17,000 solar systems, and currently has more than 250MWp under management. The company has a further 2.3GW in construction and development across the UK and Italy, where it has an office in Rome.

The UK Green Business Awards offer a unique opportunity to highlight some of the most exciting, inspiring, and innovative companies, projects, and campaigns operating in the UK today, while rewarding the many organisations that are striving to build an economy that is sustainable, healthier, and more prosperous for all.

The awards will take place on the evening of Wednesday 12 June at The Brewery in Farringdon, London, bringing together over 600 leading executives, investors, business leaders, and campaigners for a gala ceremony to celebrate the UK’s best and brightest green businesses, projects, and initiatives.
