Enviromena recognise “immense value” of ex-services personnel with covenant signing

Enviromena, a leading independent power producer, has proudly signed the Armed Forces Covenant, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the UK’s military community.

The official signing took place at the National Transition Event (NTE), organised by Mission Community, at Silverstone, where Commander Chris Chew, Commanding Officer of HMS Lancaster, countersigned the pledge on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a national pledge ensuring that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, along with their families, are treated fairly and with respect.

By signing this commitment, Enviromena formally acknowledges the unique skills and experiences that veterans, reservists, and service families bring to the workforce and society.

“We are incredibly proud to sign the Armed Forces Covenant as part of our ongoing commitment to social responsibility,” said Chris Marsh, Chief Executive Officer at Enviromena.

“We recognise the immense value that ex-service personnel and their families contribute to the workplace.

“By signing the Covenant, we are reinforcing our support for their transition into civilian careers, particularly within the clean energy sector, which continues to play a vital role in the UK’s journey towards net zero.”

The signing took place at the UK’s largest event of its kind, the National Transition Event, which brings together service leavers, veterans, and military families with businesses that value their expertise.

Organised by Mission Community, the NTE fosters meaningful engagement between employers and the Armed Forces community, creating opportunities that benefit both industries and individuals.

As a company committed to sustainability and social responsibility, Enviromena operates across the UK and Europe to deliver innovative clean energy solutions.

With over 16 years of experience in developing, designing, constructing, managing, and operating renewable energy projects, the company recognises the value of strong leadership, discipline, and problem-solving abilities that former service members bring to the industry.

Through its commitment to the Covenant, Enviromena will actively seek ways to support military personnel, service leavers, and their families, including:

  • Exploring employment opportunities for veterans and reservists within the company.
  • Offering flexible working conditions for employees with service commitments.
  • Promoting an inclusive culture that acknowledges the contributions of military families.

Chris added: “Signing the Covenant is more than a gesture, we’re committed to making a tangible difference by supporting those who have served, helping them transition into rewarding careers in the renewable energy sector.”
