Finance Director

Enviromena are a pioneering renewable energy company dedicated to advancing the global transition to clean energy. The Finance Director will be responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of Enviromena. This senior leadership role involves overseeing all financial activities, including strategic planning, financial reporting, investment analysis, and risk management. The Finance Director will work closely with the executive team to drive the company’s financial performance and support the growth and profitability of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors.
  • Lead the financial planning process, including the development of long-term financial forecasts and capital allocation strategies.
  • Drive financial initiatives to support the expansion of the company’s solar energy projects and operations.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely management information, financial statements, reports, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, reporting standards and banking covenants.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
  • Lead the annual audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of financial statements.

Investment and Risk Management

  • Evaluate and manage the company’s financial risks, including interest rate, currency, and credit risks.
  • Oversee the company’s investment strategy, including capital raising, debt financing, and equity investments.
  • Lead financial due diligence and analysis for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic investments.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and risk management practices are in place to safeguard company assets

Operational Finance Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including operational finance, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and treasury functions.
  • Optimize the company’s capital structure and working capital to support operational efficiency and growth.
  • Implement financial systems and processes that enhance operational effectiveness and scalability.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Promote collaboration across departments to ensure financial alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Drive innovation in financial processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance the company’s financial capabilities.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Track record of operating in senior financial management roles, preferably in the renewable energy sector or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in strategic financial planning, capital markets, and investment analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with executive teams and Boards of Directors.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
  • High integrity, ethical standards, and a commitment to sustainable business practices.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

  • Professional accountancy qualification, ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.
