Asset Manager

Enviromena is a leading solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) dedicated to accelerating the global shift to sustainable energy. POSITION OVERVIEW

The Asset Manager will play a critical role in maximising the performance, reliability, and profitability of Enviromena’s solar energy portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of solar plant operations, financial analysis, and stakeholder management. The Asset Manager will ensure that the assets operate at peak efficiency, comply with all regulatory requirements, and achieve the company’s financial and sustainability goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Financial Management

  • Track, report, and troubleshoot asset financial performance, including revenue generation, operating costs, and profitability.
  • Administer offtake contracts (e.g. PPA, cPPA, CfD), ensuring compliance with contracts and notifying when fixed term contracts are due to expire.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team on budgets, forecasts, and financial models for assigned assets.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Ensure insurance policies are in place and maintained for operational sites, managing insurance claims when required.

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks associated with the solar asset portfolio.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions or underperformance.

Operational Oversight

  • Monitor the performance of our solar assets to ensure optimal energy production and efficiency.
  • Observe operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, ensuring in-house and external O&M teams are working to resolve issues.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans in collaboration with O&M providers and other stakeholders.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with all contractual, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with legal and regulatory teams to address compliance issues or disputes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior management and off-takers regarding asset performance.
  • Build and leverage vendor relationships, including O&M providers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, operations, and business development, to achieve company objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in asset management, renewable energy, or a similar role, with a focus on solar energy preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of solar energy technologies, plant operations, and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with asset management software and SCADA systems.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the company, with a primary focus on capital raising, managing investor relations, and ensuring financial sustainability as we scale our solar generation pprtfolio. The Chief Financial Officer will also work closely with the wider executive team to drive the company’s financial performance and support the growth and profitability of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Fundraising and Capital Strategy

  • Lead capital raising efforts through equity, debt, and project finance to fund the development, construction, and operation of solar assets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions to secure the necessary financing for projects.
  • Develop creative and efficient financial structures for new projects, working closely with legal and technical teams.
  • Provide financial leadership in negotiations for power purchase agreements (PPAs), tax equity financing, and joint ventures when necessary.

Financial Leadership and Strategy

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, aligning it with business goals and growth plans.
  • Manage all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the company’s portfolio of solar projects.
  • Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and financial performance of all solar assets in operation.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors based on financial analysis and projections.

Investor Relations

  • Serve as the financial liaison with current and prospective investors, ensuring transparent communication and timely updates on financial performance and company milestones.
  • Prepare investor presentations, financial reports, and performance metrics tailored for stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional and individual investors, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Oversee financial risk management, ensuring appropriate financial controls, regulatory compliance, and audits are in place.
  • Manage currency risk, interest rate risk, and financial hedging strategies to safeguard company financials.
    Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations and renewable energy incentives.

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship and professional development.
  • Drive operational efficiency in the finance department, implementing best practices in accounting, reporting, and financial management.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Previous experience in the solar energy sector, power generation, or renewable energy infrastructure.
  • Experience in M&A transactions, joint ventures, and partnership agreements.
  • Familiarity with international project development and associated financing structures.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in fundraising, particularly in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or utilities sector.
  • Strong understanding of project finance, tax equity, and structured financial products.
  • Proven track record of raising capital through various financial instruments (e.g., equity, debt, and hybrid financing solutions).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with investors, lenders, and partners.
  • Experience with financial modeling, budget management, and financial forecasting in large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to navigate complex financial environments.
