Enviromena, a clean energy solutions company, has been chosen as a finalist in the “Utility Scale Solar and/or Storage Project of the Year” category at this year’s prestigious Solar & Storage Live Awards.
Based in Reading, Enviromena is actively developing renewable energy projects in both the UK and Italy. The company has been shortlisted for its Horsey Levels project in Somerset, which made history by becoming the first to be energised after National Grid Electricity Distribution introduced changes last year to speed up connections.
The Solar & Storage Live Awards shine a light on the many inspiring organisations that are striving to build an economy that is sustainable, healthier and more prosperous for all. The Utility Scale Solar and / or Storage Project of the Year category specifically recognises those projects that have led the way in producing cleaner energy on a large scale and significantly contributed to Net Zero targets.
Enviromena’s CEO, Chris Marsh, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for an award which acknowledges significant contributions to clean energy production in the UK. This recognition highlights the creativity and teamwork of our exceptional team, and I am extremely proud of Enviromena for being considered.
“Our Horsey Levels project was the first in the nation to be energised ahead of its original connection date under the National Grid’s Technical Limits program. This initiative has accelerated project connection dates across the UK, some by more than ten years.”
The Solar & Storage Live Awards offer a unique opportunity to highlight some of the most exciting, inspiring, and innovative companies, projects, and campaigns operating in the UK today, while rewarding the many organisations that are spearheading the revolution towards a greener future.
The awards will take place on the evening of 24th September 2024 at Vox, Resorts World, Birmingham for a black-tie gala dinner and ceremony.
