Reading-based Enviromena, one of the UK’s leading clean energy companies, has won the Clean Energy – Sustainability category in this year’s Berkshire Business Awards.
These prestigious awards cover a wide range of categories and sectors and are designed to allow businesses of all sizes to showcase their achievements. Entrants are judged on merits alone, rather than the size and scope of their company, and the winners are those the judges believe have made significant contributions worthy of recognition.
Enviromena, which is headquartered in Grazeley, Reading and also has offices in Rome, was delighted to win the Clean Energy – Sustainability Award. “We are thrilled that our contribution to the green economy has been recognised with this prestigious award,” said Chris Marsh, CEO at Enviromena.
“As a Reading-based company, it’s particularly important to us to have won. We are embedded into the Berkshire community; many of our team are from Reading and we recently launched our first apprenticeship scheme, which offers young people living in the area an exciting career in renewables.
“We know that there are some highly credible companies in the green energy space,” continued Chris, “and we’re extremely proud that our dedication to leading the transition to a world powered by safe, affordable and reliable clean energy across the UK and Europe has been recognised with this award.”
