The role will report to Enviromena’s Head of Legal and will work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel and Trainee Solicitors.

The role will be focused on both commercial property, commercial and corporate work. You will need to be flexible and prepared to work in a range of practice areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Carrying out due diligence (including title review, pre-contract searches and enquiries) on commercial property and corporate transactions.
• Assisting with drafting and negotiating heads of terms, option agreements, leases, easements and ancillary documents.
• Undertaking research to assist with queries in relation to legal obligations for Enviromena’s existing solar project sites.
• Liaising with third parties on the other side of transactions e.g. landlord’s solicitors.
• Reviewing a range of commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, terms and conditions, subcontracts and supplier contracts.
• Assisting with company secretarial tasks such as incorporating companies, drafting board minutes, maintaining company books and filing confirmation statements.
• Providing ad-hoc support for administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential experience

• While legal work experience would be beneficial, it is not essential.
• You will have good commercial awareness and a keen interest in the renewable energy sector.
• Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload when there are competing deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to detail with sound working knowledge of common MS Office packages.

Qualifications

• You will hold an LLB degree or equivalent qualification.
